The California Preschool Instructional Network (CPIN) is brought to you by the California Department of Education, Child Development Division in collaboration with the Center for Child and Family Studies at WestEd and the California County Superintendents Educational Services Association (CCSESA). The purpose of the CPIN is to provide professional development and technical assistance to preschool teachers and administrators to ensure preschool children are ready for school.  The Network is organized into 11 regions of the state that will disseminate information, training and resources to their particular region.

We invite you to explore our web site which contains a wide range of information about the project, our goals for the next few years, regional information, upcoming events, the California Preschool Online Learning Center, the Preschool Learning Foundations, the Desired Results for Children and Families, and available resources.

Public Review Sessions for Preschool Learning Foundations, Volume 3 announced! Registration begins March 12th.

The California Department of Education’s Child Development Division has developed draft preschool learning foundations for public review. To review and comment on these evidence and research-based foundations (History-Social Science and/or Science), register for a session in your region. The sessions will be facilitated by the California Preschool Instructional Network (CPIN) and held throughout the state April 12-23.
