Telegraphic/Formulaic SpeechTelegraphic Speech is the use of a few content words without functional words or certain grammatical markers that communicate for example, action, possession, or location. It should be noted telegraphic speech is used during the acquisition of each language. Examples of telegraphic speech: "Mommy milk"; "Daddy shoe"; "fish water" Formulaic Speech is the use of formulas, chunks or phrases the child uses without completely understanding how they function in the language.
