ProductsTo date, the English Learning for Preschoolers Project has developed the following products for the California Department of Education:
- The resource guide Preschool English Learners: Principles and Practices to Promote Language, Literacy, and Learning. This guide is both a revision and an expansion of the earlier guide titled, Fostering the Development of a First and Second Language in Early Childhood. The guide is also available for download through the California Department of Education (CDE) under Preschool Resources at http://www.cde.ca.gov/sp/cd/re/).
- This web site, intended to offer one more vehicle for teachers of preschool English learners to access current and relevant information and instructional practices.
- A companion video* to the above materials.
- A training manual* which contains a collection of training activities that bring to life the concepts presented in Preschool English Learners: Principles and Practices to Promote Language, Literacy, and Learning.
All of the above products with the exception of the training manual will be available in both English and Spanish.
